Hydrogen Fueled Vehicles Good Or Bad

Any conversation of the renewable energy always directs to wind the way back to idea of using the hydrogen for fuel. Specifically in form of the fuel cells.

Hydrogen is a most common constituent on the planet. Honestly, it is about everything that means it is plentiful beyond the belief. Making the things much better, at least hypothetically, is a fact that hydrogen generated excess energy when it is combined with few other ordinary elements. This surplus energy is of huge interest to numerous in energy industry, mainly harnessing it. Majority of the focus is on hydrogen fuel cell.

Hydrogen fuel cell is totally based on the exclusive situation what will happen when you produce water. When hydrogen & oxygen are mixed together to make water, process creates excess energy, which can be transformed in electricity. In supposition, it is an ideal energy source. We have got plenty of hydrogen & oxygen. By product of the procedure is water that is hardly an ecological concern. As a result, if this is a good idea, why do not we have hydrogen cars? Well, there are many problems.

First problem is hydrogen supply. Hydrogen is plentiful and everywhere around us, it is not in the form that we can utilize. Hydrogen has very bad habit of making strong chemical bonds along with the other elements. And separating it from these elements is incompetent and at present takes extra energy to do than hydrogen produced really supplies. Until we figure out the way to professionally isolate the hydrogen on large scale, technology is fairly dead in water.

However there is one more large problem that we overcome. Although creation of water makes excess of energy, it does not make a lot of it. Present fuel cell designs & materials are just not up to the chore. One-hydrogen fuel cell only produces volt of energy. For instance, it will take around six of them in order to produce equivalent energy of 9 volt battery. Clearly, that is not nearly sufficient. If we see then fuel cell have become a feasible energy mechanism, the technology will need to improve drastically.
